Mee Goreng

Serves 4

Ingredients

Mee

1 cooking onion

Garlic (Powdered/ Natural)

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Prawns

2 large Eggs

Oyster Sauce

Chilli & Garlic Sauce

Light Soy Sauce

Vegetables e.g. Chinese Broccoli, Snow Peas, Bean sprouts, & Green Beans

Method

1. Dice the vegetables and set aside

2. Scramble 2 eggs in a bowl and also set aside

3. Chop the onions and garlic

4. Boil the Mee in a pot.

5. Slice chicken into thin strips.

6. Put some oil and the onions & garlic in a wok.

7. Heat the oil

8. Cook the chicken in the wok. Make sure that it is not overcooked.

9. Add a bit of the chilli sauce to add to the flavour and also to keep the chicken from becoming tough

10. Remove the chicken and keep it warm.

11. If the prawns are uncooked, cook them in the wok.

12. Set aside the prawns with the chicken and keep them warm.

13. Cook the scrambled eggs in the wok (flip them around a lot, and rotate the wok) so that they are thin and in fragments

14. Stir-fry vegetables with some oil and soy sauce

15. Drain the mee, Run under hot water to remove some of the starch.

16. Keep mee warm.

17. Add the chicken and prawns back into the wok.

18. Add a little oyster and chilli sauce

19. Add the mee into the wok, and stir it all up.

20. Add rest of oyster & chilli sauces to the mixture, according to taste.
